[Abstract]
There must be a balanced development of both conglomerates and small and mid-sized companies in order to secure constant economic growth and competitive edge of South Korea. Accordingly, high expectations are being placed on win-win growth and joint overseas expansion of conglomerates and small and mid-sized companies. This study seeks efficient ways to promote joint overseas expansion of major retailers and small and mid-sized companies considering the distinctiveness of home shopping by conducting interviews about joint overseas expansion of home shopping companies and small and mid-sized consumer goods companies in South Korea.
Home shopping companies contribute to opening up overseas markets for small and mid-sized consumer goods companies, and allows them to make use of business and marketing competencies that they lack. Home shopping companies also produce visual materials or provide language translations, and help draw up documents for customs clearance in trading. They also form market development teams and provide information about the overseas markets. However, since the actual benefits from joint overseas expansion are minor for home shopping companies, there is a need for a strategy for win-win growth of both parties in the long run. To this end, it is necessary to provide substantial benefits to encourage joint overseas expansion and ultimately implement the concept of creating shared value (CSV).

[Abstract]
This study examined whether Korean SMEs¡¯ international subsidiary performance was influenced by the industrial agglomeration in specific regions. Prior research on overseas subsidiary focused on the principal resource transfer between headquarters and subsidiaries. Hence, the possible influence of network externalities in host countries is unclear. To address this research gap, I argue that network externalities have a positive effect on SMEs¡¯ subsidiary performance in overseas markets. Using data from Korean small and medium sized manufacturing firms that were located in the various countries in 2015, the results show that SMEs¡¯ externalities were important to the type of firms constituting a geographical network. Specifically, this study has two views of agglomeration of all the sized firms and large ones in the same industry area. In addition, this study examined the moderating effect of absorptive capability on the spillover effect from agglomeration. It was concerned that industrial agglomeration in the same city affected the SMEs¡¯ subsidiary performance, and agglomeration of large firms also had the positive effect for SMEs¡¯ performance in overseas market. The results suggest the need for network externalities of SMEs to manage their subsidiary management in overseas market.

[Abstract]
Focusing on cue theory, the purpose of this study is to examine the impact of overall country image (i.e., macro country image), product-specific country image (i.e., micro country image) and materialism on perceived quality of Korean cosmetics. Data were collected through online survey in four countries, representing two leading developed countries (U.S. and France) and two important emerging countries (China and Vietnam). Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. Overall, the results revealed that the positive effects of country image and materialism on product evaluation. Among their effects, the impact of micro country image was the greatest and robust across all four countries. However, the transfer of macro country image on quality evaluation was significant only in U.S. and France, not in China and Vietnam. Further, the findings found that the transfer of materialism among consumers to product quality was significant only in Vietnam, which implies that strong impact of materialistic consumers in emerging markets may attach products from more developed markets. Theoretical explanations and practical implications for apparel companies and governments are provided.

[Abstract]
In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the healthcare industry is attracting attention. This is because it is regarded as a future core industry in line with an aging society. The global healthcare market is worth $ 6.15 trillion (based on 2013), according to market research agency Planetket Research.
The Fourth Industrial Revolution is the fusion of reality and imagination. Healthcare industry and the Fourth Industrial Revolution are growing together as the next generation growth engines.
In the fourth industrial revolution, it is important for the healthcare industry to grow that medical data is collected. The cloud is also a highway connecting reality and virtual. This is because big data has to be gathered here.
However, due to regulatory policy, collecting medical big data is forbidden in Korea. Three regulations, obstructing to collect basic medical data, are: Excessive regulation of personal information, regulation of public information, and restrictions on the use of specific clouds. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the policies between Korea and other countries such as the US, Japan, and the EU, in order to utilize medical big data in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
In this study, we analyzed the results of a survey of 50 public officials from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, which establishes national policy on medical care, the National Health Insurance Corporation, the National Health Insurance Evaluation and Examination Center, which manages medical big data.
This will help you to understand the current status of medical big data system in Korea and what you would learn from other countries.
Medical big data could be used for disease prevention, new drug development and medical device development.
Evolution of Jobs Based on Human Need

[Abstract]
Humanity has been experiencing anxiety about the future job loss and unemployment due to the rapid technological development and automation introduction that has not been experienced until now. After the financial crisis in 2008, press reports and social interest in job insecurity increased, and the Davos Forum, the Gartner Group, and the Oxford Institute of England warned that the majority of jobs would disappear due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, It is emerging as a social issue. However, in the history of mankind, the disappearance and the production have progressed together. This study demonstrates that technological innovation has changed the shape of jobs since the first industrial revolution in 1760 and that jobs have continued to grow and evolve with the increase of the workforce.
Future job changes will also be able to predict future jobs when analyzing the precise drivers of job evolution. In this study, we confirmed that one of the main drivers is a deep correlation with the human desire hierarchy. So far, I have studied how human desire affects the demand and supply of jobs in the aspect of Maslow's desire for the five steps, that there has been job change according to human desire change and future job has a correlation with human desire change. If jobs were created in terms of materials for survival in the first and second industrial revolutions, in the tertiary industrial revolution, a connecting society transcending the space through the Internet was created and the social needs of the human being were filled. In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, self - expression and self - realization will be the main driver of jobs. Through the analysis of the job evolution process to meet the human desire after the industrial revolution and the prediction of the future job evolution, I want to prove that the job will not decrease and the job will infinitely evolve as human desire is infinite.

[Abstract]
Popular sovereignty again launched with Moon Jae-in, the government of national policy objectives, from the management philosophy and practices are totally different before and should be a time when with a purpose.

In the future, the nation's policies for the advancement of the fourth industrial revolution should be changed simply by stepping away from the growing direction of growth and changing the national wealth to the demands of the national rights and demands.

The Political Study to build safety net for Innovation for Re-challenge Invigoration

[Abstract]
When startups are successful, then they can be continuos entrepreneurs or enter global market. Whereas, when failed, then they re-challenge or can be liquidated by moral laxity. This is a virtuous cycle of startup and innovation's ecosystem. In addition, there is a safety net for innovation. However, this is a Korea's reality blocking re-challenge without the safety net.
Current government is aimed to construct 'startup nation' by abolition of joint surety and creating re-challenge funds in order to boost startups and economy. Even though its actions look active, it is just focusing on partial supports from the short period not by regarding the whole ecosystem.
This research tries to consider such a reality and suggest directions of regulation improvement based on historical contexts. In 1970s, when facing with the rise of oil price and low economic growth, companies struggled for weak financial solvency. So the then government solved their difficulties by financial support. Then, it caused businessmen accumulated their money by dishonest ways or cozy relations between politics and business and unclear management. In order to solve this problem, regulations such as joint surety, imposition of tax on oligopolistic stakeholder and guarantor's obligations were rigorously uted. Even it has been continuing until now though such a situation was considerably improved.
Thus, we need to unravel such complicated problems and build innovation safe net. It will eventually contribute the naturally virtuous cycle of innovation ecosystem by increasing startup and entrepreneurship.
